    TV no picture ...

First of all, Toshiba isn't the same company as long ago. They're a completely chinese-sourced company. They have no korean or japanese parts in the low end models such as that 40l1333. It simply doesn't have the same quality sourcing as LG, Samsung, Panasonic, etc. But, yes, you are right...

    TV no picture ...

TV's are not all equal, not at all. Some RCA last 6 months, some LG TVs will last less than 3 years, some Samsung will last 10 years, one HDTV I have has over 20 years. I literally have hundreds of TVs that are less than 10 years old in storage because they aren't reparable. For example...

Replacing Disc Drive with USB ports

Hmm, that's odd? Have you tried different external drive brands? I guess it's probably your controller that has issues rather than your supply, given it's powerful enough.

    TV no picture ...

Well, simply try it elsewhere, like in a different room for example. If you still lose the picture on a DVD or another source, then the TV is defective. Bring it in to warranty?

Bluray player and rca colortrak plus tv hook up

Yes, RCA cables is yellow white red. Yellow is the picture, white/red is the sound. That adapter, an rca cable (YWR), and an hdmi cable is all you need.

Hmm, have you tried it elsewhere? Do you use a special powerbar? If not, then your second TV is also defective. It might be a coincidence.

Bluray player and rca colortrak plus tv hook up

Hello there. The only way to get a picture and sound with your new blu-ray would be to use an adapter, such as: https://www.amazon.com/Daisen-tech-Converter-Composite-Adapter/dp/B01HGDB3TA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480627153&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=hdmi+rca&psc=1 This will convert the HDMI signal...

    TV no picture ...

Hello there. What you describe looks like a poor HDMI connection. Have you perhaps used...the same HDMI wires as the last TV? Change your wires, or test with another video source, such as a DVD. Those 2006 Samsung rarely fail and would have lasted longer than the Toshiba.

Sony VAIO notebook with non-standard hdd connector...converter needed to sata

Hello there. Your PC has SATA as well. Your connector for the hard drive is an adapter already. Simply remove the adapter from the HDD and install it on the new SSD. Should be the same as: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhzHCklMNo4

    PC Audio Gremlins

Well, that could very well be it.... It's not unheard of for 3rd party software to cause such issues.

Want to play Xbox 1 & PC audio through same set of speakers

You're welcome. ^^ It won't affect it even if there's no yellow video cable. It's just a direct switch, there's no electronics, so no way to even know there's no video. The wires are directly connected to the output, so even if one wire is missing it doesn't matter. It'll simply switch the...

Want to play Xbox 1 & PC audio through same set of speakers

Ok, so I guess you can't even touch your PC...xD Well, there's no extremely simple fix. One solution would be to use an HDMI extractor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAA0C4T42238&cm_re=hdmi_extractor-_-0Y3-00E9-000X0-_-Product Simply wire the HDMI from the XBOX through...
