How to Add Effects to Your Photos on Google+

Sometimes you want to apply cool effects to your photos before you share them on your social networking profiles. In order to add effects to the photos, you generally use an image editing tool such as Adobe Photoshop or GIMP. Unlike other social networking websites, Google+ has a built-in image editor that allows you to add effects to your uploaded photographs without using any other third-party tool.

Note: You must use Google Chrome to edit your photos on Google+. At the time of this writing, the image editing feature is not supported in any other web browser.

You can easily edit your images using the Google+ built-in image editing application by following these steps:

■Using Google Chrome sign-in to your Google+ account.
■On the Home page, hover the mouse over the Home menu from menu bar located at the top-left corner.
■From the expanded options, click Photos.

■On the Photos page, locate and click the desired picture to which you want to add effects.

■Once the picture is selected, on the opened window, click the Edit option from the top.

■Once processing is done, from the right pane, click the desired effect option from either Basic Adjustments or the Creative Adjustments section.
■Once you are satisfied with the added effects, click the Done editing link from the bottom to apply the modifications.

■Optionally, on the same interface, you can also click the Customize button from the top in order to customize your picture.
■On the AUTO ENHANCE interface that comes up in the right pane, ensure that the available toggle button is set to ON.

10. Customize your picture by dragging the appropriate sliders to right or left as required.
11. Finally click the Apply link from the bottom to save the effects.
