How to Hide LinkedIn Skill Endorsements

While using your LinkedIn account it is likely that you will be endorsed by your connections on the skills that you possess. Although it is a good way to brag about your area of expertise, sometimes you might not want some of your endorsed skills to be seen by anyone. In this case, you can hide the endorsed skills from your profile.

To make the settings more granular, LinkedIn also allows you to choose to display which connections endorsed you for the skills. For example, if Jacob and Maria have endorsed you for a particular skill, you can configure the visibility of the endorsement in such a way that the skill is shown as if it is endorsed only by Jacob and not by Maria.

Here is how you can hide your LinkedIn skill endorsements:

■Log on to your computer system.
    ■Open your favorite web browser.
■On the web page that comes up, type in the address bar and press the Enter key.
■If prompted, provide your credentials in the appropriate fields, and click the Sign In button.

■On the Home page, hover the mouse over the Profile menu from the menu bar at the top
■From the displayed list, click the Edit Profile option.

■On the Profile page, under the Background section, locate the Skills & Endorsements category.
■Click the Edit link (pencil icon) representing Skills & Endorsements.

■Once this is done, under the Skills & Endorsements Settings section, click the Manage Endorsements link.
