How to Make Restaurant Reservations with the OpenTable App

OpenTable is an app which allows you to look for restaurants and make a reservation using your mobile device. To help you decide which restaurant to choose, it also displays the type of food or menu a restaurant has including reviews and ratings by other users. OpenTable saves you tha hassle of waiting in line to make reservations as well as the worry thinking about the type of food you and your friends will have. Here is a simple tutorial how to make restaurant reservations using the OpenTable app.

1. Download the app first and create an account. Using the app to make reservations after a certain number of times will let you earn rewards. If you have already an account, just log in to the OpenTable app.

2. To begin your search, tap "Find a Table" to search restaurants by name, your current location, or you can also search a certain location in case you are traveling some place. Tap the search filter you want to use. You can refine your search by price, distance, or the neighborhood.


3. Next, you have to enter the time and date you want as well as the number of people in your group. You can also specify how many restaurants you want to get from the search result. The range is between 20 and 100. After that, tap "Find a Table." When you tap that button, a prompt will pop-up asking permission if you want the app to use your current location or not.

4. Then, browse through the result and find which restaurant you want to. You will find and overview about the restaurant including the menu and customer reviews. Once you're decided, choose the time you want.


5. After that, you need to enter your phone number. You can also make a special request by tapping the button; then write your request. Review your reservation and tap Confirm. A pop-up will appear informing you that your reservation has been confirmed. You can also ask to have the details emailed to you.
