How to Message your Host from the Airbnb App

Whether you are traveling the world and want to avoid a dry, stuffy hotel room, or just need a place to stay for a few weeks while you shop around for an apartment, Airbnb can be the perfect solution. Still, if something goes wrong with your rental, you want to be able to get in touch with your host—with or without a computer. Use the following steps to contact your Airbnb host via mobile.

Step 1
Start by going to your phone’s app store—Apple or Google Play will do—and searching for “Airbnb.” Once you locate the app, download it to your mobile device for free. Log in to the app store if necessary.

Step 2
Once you’ve downloaded the app, open it on your device. You will see a bar at the bottom allowing you to either “Sign Up” or “Log In.” Login to the account you used to set up your current Airbnb arrangement.

Step 3
Once you’re logged in, tap the menu button in the corner of the screen. You should be able to access your inbox from here, which likely already contains messages you’ve sent back and forth with your host. Find those messages or simply start a new thread to send a message to your host.

Recap
When you rent a vacation home on Airbnb, you hope that everything is going to go off without a hitch. However, if you have an issue with your rental that you need your host to correct, use the Airbnb app to get in touch with them.
