How to Pair a Bluetooth Speaker with an iPad

Your iPad has the ability to connect to other devices with Bluetooth. If you keep a lot of music on your iPad, you may want to pair your iPad with a speaker. Bluetooth speakers are wireless, so you can take them wherever you take your iPad. If you want to pair your iPad with a Bluetooth speaker, it takes a little bit of setting up. Luckily, we have the steps:

Enable Bluetooth on iPad:
First, you have to turn on Bluetooth on your iPad.
1. Tap on the "Settings" icon from the home screen.

2. Tap on "General" from the options.

3. Tap on "Bluetooth."
4. Slide/swipe the "Bluetooth" button to right to ‘ON’ it.

Pair with the Bluetooth speaker:
Now you just have to pair them up. Let’s see how.
1. Put the Bluetooth speaker into "Discoverable" mode. If you need to, read the manual for the device, as this process might vary based on your speaker. Generally, by pressing or simultaneously pressing and holding a specific button you can activate the discoverable mode on the speaker. Then you will see a light blinking on your Bluetooth speaker which indicates that discoverable mode is activated.
2. On your iPad, tap on the name of the device in the Bluetooth sections on Settings. Enter a passkey (if it asks for one) for the device. Some devices have a default passkey. Look in the instruction manual.

3. It will connect automatically. Check that a blue/white Bluetooth icon appears at the top of your iPad screen. This ensures that your iPad is successfully connected to the Bluetooth speaker. A gray Bluetooth icon indicates that the Bluetooth connection is not successful.
