How to Remove Followers on Twitter

Is there someone that you would rather not have follow you on Twitter? You have the option to remove this follower from your Twitter account. Removing a follower from Twitter by following the steps listed below.

Step 1: Log into Twitter.

Step 2: Beneath your Twitter handle on your profile or on your home page, you will see that you have the option to click on your followers. Click on “followers.”

Step 3: You can now browse your list of followers until you find the account that you wish to remove.

Step 4: Next to the account profile photo that you wish to remove, you will see a small icon that looks like a gear. Click on the gear to get a drop down bar of more options.

Step 5: You will see that one of the options is to “Block or Report” the user. Click that option.

Step 6: You have now successfully blocked the user.

Recap: Blocking an account can also be done from their tweets on your home page if you also follow the user. By clicking on their name, a small profile summary will appear, where you will once again have the same option to click on the gear icon to block the user. They will not be notified of this action. You can decide to unblock the user at any time.
