Tired of switching between applications to get your work done? Well, since you can’t really afford or don’t really need two different screens, what you need is to be able to place these two things on the same screen side by side. And this is exactly what you can do on a MacBook Pro. You can place two applications side by side on your MacBook screen using this nifty little tool called ‘split screen’ and save a huge amount of time while working.
Follow these steps below to run two applications side by side on the MacBook Pro:
Step 1
Open any two apps on your PC, for example the calendar app and the Safari browser.
Step 2
On the top left of each app there will be three buttons – Red, Yellow, and Green.
Step 3
Click and hold down the 'Green Button' on any one of the two apps.
Step 4
You will notice that one of the apps automatically moves to one half of the screen while you can now move the other app to either side you choose. Whichever side you choose to place one app, the other will automatically be shifted to the other side.
Step 5
Right in the middle of your screen will be a line dividing these two apps. If you take your cursor over this line you will notice that the cursor will turn into a double-sided arrow. You can now click and drag this line to either side of your screen to give more space to one app than the other.
Now you will be able to place two apps on your screen, decide how much space each should hold, and work on them as you like!
