How to Turn Off In-App Skype Notifications

By default Skype has several in-app notifications enabled. With these notifications, you know when a person in your contact list comes online, his/her birthday is, sends a voice message, sends a file, etc.

Although these notifications are present in the application to help you memorize and inform any activity that takes place related to your Skype profile and contacts in your list, sometimes it might be annoying to have some notifications disturbing you especially if you are not interested in knowing about certain activities.

In order to make Skype easier for you and to maintain your privacy, the application allows you to disable the unwanted in-app notifications so that you can use the software in peace.

You can disable the unwanted in-app notifications from Skype by accessing the ‘Notifications’ category from the ‘Skype Options’ interface.

Here is how:
■Log on to your computer system.
    ■Initialize the Skype application.
■On the Sign in window, click the appropriate option to log-in either using Microsoft account or by your Skype Name.
