How to Unsync iTunes From iCloud in Windows Laptop

If you have saved a lot of data on your iCloud account a huge amount of disk space on your local computer is likely to get occupied when the iTunes and iCloud accounts synchronize with each other.

In order to ensure that your laptop’s hard disk drive is not filled with the data that already exists on your iCloud account, it is important that you desynchronize your laptop iTunes from the iCloud. To get the job done, you must know the correct process, and you must also have access to your Apple ID using which you can desynchronize the two.

Here is how:

■Log on to your Windows laptop.
■Assuming that you have already installed the latest version of iTunes on your laptop, locate and double-click the iTunes icon to launch the application.
■If not already signed in, on the iTunes’ Home interface, click the Sign In button from the top-left corner.

■In the Sign In to the iTunes Store box, provide your Apple ID credentials in the appropriate fields, and click the Sign In button.

■On the opened window, click the Options icon (icon with black and white blocks) from the top-left corner.
■From the available options in the list, click Preferences.

■On the opened preferences box, click Store from the top to go to Store Preferences.
Note: The name of the opened box changes according to the tab selected from the top. For example General Preferences when on General tab, and Store Preferences when the Store tab is selected.
