How to Use Dongles With Your MacBook Pro

Your MacBook Pro can be the ultimate multimedia device. It’s got all the specifications, including a gorgeous display. Just connect to a few dongles, and you are set to go.
Although the MacBook Pro does not come with USB 3.0 hubs anymore, you can use various adapters. They are easily available and not very expensive. You can use your favourite dongles with the MacBook Pro by following these simple steps:

1.) Connect USB Adapter
Most dongles still come with the conventional USB 3.0. In order to connect your MacBook with any of these, you need to get a USB-C to USB 3.0 adapter. Simply connect it to the USB-C port in your MacBook and you will have at least one USB 3.0 hub to connect your dongle.

Plug your dongle into the USB 3.0 hub. You will see that MacOS detects the device.
If it is just a storage device or a Flash Drive, you will be able to use it straight away by opening Finder. However, if it’s a data card or a video streaming stick, you might have to go through driver installation.
