How To Use Google Maps Offline

With the help of uninterrupted Internet data plan, smartphone users can use Google Maps to navigate anywhere they please.

On the other hand, there are still some countries where the Internet services are not that advanced, and people can use the Internet only in particular places. If you won't have Internet access, you will want to save maps for offline use.

The process of saving maps to use Google Maps in offline mode requires just a few taps on your smartphone. Here is how this can be done:

    ■Turn on your Android phone.
■Tap the menu icon to display the apps list.

■From the available apps list, locate and tap the Maps app icon.

■On the home page, tap the Search icon (icon with a magnifying glass) from the top and type the keywords for the desired place to search the target location.
■Once you locate the place on the Google map, tap the target location (location with the red balloon icon). (E.g. Vortex Jazz Club in this demonstration)

■On the opened interface, locate and tap the Save map to use offline button from the bottom.

■On the Save this map interface, zoom-in the map to adjust the target place and tap the Save button from the bottom.

■On the Name offline map popup box, type the desired name (or location name) in the given field.
■Tap Save to save the map on your phone to use the map offline.
