This is a simple quest where you just need to track and kill a monster. There is no rocket science behind it as you have already faced the monster before. So if you want to know more about the quest and how you can complete it, refer to the guide given below:
Walkthrough:
The quest is about you tracking and hunting a monster. Well you have fought this one before and there is not a big difference between the older version and this higher ranked version beside it being stronger with higher damage. So your objective is to track and hunt the monster named Odogaron that you have already dealt with before. So if you manage to complete the quest successfully, you will be rewarded with a decent reward of 12600z which is not bad considering the amount of work it will require you.
You just need to kill a monster that you already know most of the things about. Anyways, you will have a window of 50 minutes to complete the quest and if you do not complete it in that time, you will fail it and if you faint three times in the quest, which is highly unlikely, you will fail it as well. Lastly, you will need a hunter rank of 100 or higher which you should have by now. So with the basics of the quest out of the way, let’s start the quest:
- Just like the Tobi-Kadachi you faced earlier, the Odogaron is not a new foe either. You know most of the things about it and it has just higher damage, that’s all. So it will not be difficult to kill it. The only big difference between the normal Odogaron and this higher ranked version is that while fighting this one, you may face Pink Rathian.
- SO keep in mind that you have fought the Pink Rathian as well and it should not be a problem to kill it as well if you have to. But, there is something else that you can do besides killing the Pink Rathian and that is to just hang back and let the Odogaron and Pink Rathian fight with each other. There will be a time when both of them will be injured and you can then just go ahead and kill the Odogaron.
- You already know the weaknesses, attacks, strengths and weak body parts of the Odogaron so it will not be a problem to kill it. Just keep the things mentioned above in mind and you will be able to complete the quest in no time.
So once you have killed the Odogaron, carve it and you will get the reward of 12600z. Just make sure to avoid fighting both the Pink Rathian and the Odogaron at the same time and instead, let both of them fight.
