Monster Hunter World - Gone in a Flash Quest Guide

The quest is different from other quests in terms of effort it requires to kill this monster. You will have to go above and beyond to kill this one. So if you want to know more about the quest and how you can defeat this monster, read the guide below:
This is the third quest of First Wyverian that requires you to track and hunt a monster. Of course the monster is new and you will have to use new techniques and different weapons on it but the theme of the quest is the same; hunt a monster.

The objective of the quest is to hunt down a very dangerous monster that may be more dangerous than the last two monsters you have faced. Its name is Kirin and you have to track it and then slay it. If you successfully complete the quest, you will be rewarded with a whopping 9000z that is a lot of zenny. You will be given 50 minutes to complete the quest and if you do not complete it within the 50 minutes, you will fail the quest. You will also fail it if you faint three times. Lastly, you are required to have a Hunter Rank of eight which you should have by now. So with the basics clear, let’s kill this bad boy:
1. First of all, you need to be prepared as this monster is not going down easily. Now after the preparation, it’s time to find the beast.

Search for its signs that will take the form of the shed Electrified Fur which may be found in the AREA 8. Make sure to find enough material related to Kirin to track it and then follow the scoutflies to its position.

2. There is a good chance that you encounter the Kirin in the AREA 12. But it can also move between the AREAS 6, 8, 10, and 13. And when it gets injured, it will go up to the AREA 15 to take some rest. Kirin has various thunder attacks that come in a variety of forms, these attacks deal a lot of damage and target different areas. If you are mobile enough, you can evade these attacks.

3. Kirin will attack in different ways, sometimes calling off different bolts of lightning, blasting large circular areas with thunder and sometimes different lines of thunder at the ground so watch out for the glowing blue spots on the ground to know where the attacks will land. Eventually, the monster will become angry and its defense will shoot up leaving only its head vulnerable to attacks.

4. After taking a lot of damage, it will go back to AREA 15 but you will not be able to capture it as it is Elder Dragon. So what you can do is deploy Barrel Bombs or its upgraded versions while the monster is sleeping. Place them near its weak points and you will be able to inflict severe damage to the Kirin. Lastly, remember that the Kirin is weak to the fire elemental attacks and weakest to Blast and Sleep. Also, its head is the most receptive part to damage and the horn is breakable.
So fight the Kirin while keeping these things in mind and once you kill it, carve it and you will end the quest that will give you a big amount of 9000z.
