This is the first quest of the Rotten Vale and starts while you are exploring the area. It involves a very big and spiky monster that you need to slay.

Walkthrough:
The first quest of Rotten Vale and indeed an interesting one. This is because this quest is about hunting down the first monster in the Rotten Vale so it will be fun. The objective of this quest is to track down and then kill the monster named Radobaan. This is not going to be an arduous quest as you have already fought several monsters before including the mighty Zorah.
So if you complete this quest successfully, you will be rewarded with a generous reward of 4320z which is a decent amount. The time limit of the quest is 50 minutes which is enough for you to complete the quest. If somehow, you are unable to complete the quest on time, you will fail it. Also, if you faint three times during the quest, you will fail it. In order to start this quest, you will be required to have a Hunter Rank of 7. So with everything out of the way, let’s start the quest:
1. You can start this quest in two ways, either you go along with the initial exploration of Rotten Vale where you will come across the Radobaan and then you will kill it. Or, you can return to your camp after sighting the Radobaan and then eat a meal, take some potions and gear up. Then you can again start the quest from the quest board.
2. So if you are starting the quest from the quest board, you already know where to go, AREA 1 as you found the Radobaan there. It can also be found in its lair which is in AREA 4. Anyways, you need to keep in mind that the Radobaan’s most attacks involve rolling around on the ground and also using its bulk and the spike of bones at its head. It also attacks with its head to watch out for that as well.
3. Also, when you are fighting the Radobaan, make sure to look out for the gas that it excretes from its belly which puts down the hunters to sleep. Radobaan is a gigantic monster and that is why it gets a bit hard for it to move fast which is good for you as you can attack it with virtually any weapon.
4. The head and back legs of the Radobaan are receptive to damage and especially its head. Both of these parts are breakable along with tail and back. Lastly, it is weak against the blast ailment and the dragon element attacks.
Once you have killed the Radobaan, carve it and this will end the quest. Once the quest is ended, you will get the reward of 4320z.
