- ■Download the Gear Manager.apk file on any non-Samsung smartphone.
■Once downloaded, turn on the Bluetooth on the device.
■Go to the Settings window.
■Under the PERSONAL section, locate and tap Security.
■Once you are on the Security window, under the PASSWORD section, check the Unknown sources checkbox.
■Tap OK from the prompt box and exit the Settings window.
■After this, locate and tap the Gear Manager.apk file from the internal storage of the smartphone.
■On the Gear Manager interface, tap Next from the bottom.
■When you are on the Do you want to install this application window, tap Install.
■Once the Gear Manager is installed successfully, from the Select device window, tap to select Galaxy Gear 2 under the Available devices section.
■On the Bluetooth Pairing Request box, tap Pair.
■Once done, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process and to get the Galaxy Gear 2 paired with a non-Samsung smartphone.
