Twitter is one of the most popular social media networks with over 300 million active users worldwide. It’s also a free service, so in part, they earn money by serving up ads that are relevant to you and other users. This also means they collect various information on you.
■ Open your favorite browser, type www.twitter.com in the address bar and press Enter.
■ You’re now at the Privacy page, which has an abundance of information. It’s all on one page, so all you can do is read and scroll down until you reach the bottom of the page. To find specific sections quickly, click on the hamburger menu, in the upper-right corner of the page and then just choose the section.
■ If you don’t want to read it fully at the moment, scroll down to about ¼ of the page, where you can find some key points.
■ Also, there will be a new version of the policy with some revision after the May 25th. To check that out, go to the top of the Privacy page, and in the small paragraph find and click the “here” link.
■ You also have the option to download the policy in pdf file, which you can do by clicking on Download PDF, found in the upper-corner of the page.
