Tried both combinations. Does the same on either. It's a motherboard fault but I just need someone to talk me through where to check.

I took the keyboard off and shorted the the pins on the keyboard connector and it still alternates between off and on. Tested by measuring voltage at the 5v and 3.3v coils.

The button is 100% working. All been tested.

Hi. My HP 14-dv1629na suddenly wouldn't boot and just goes in a constant on/off state every 2/3 seconds. Even a forced shutdown does not turn it off. I have to physically open the laptop up and disconnect the battery. The battery charges fine when I plug the DC connector in. So far I've tried...
