Although the motherboards have different chipsets, they both list "core unlocking" as one of the features. Is your BIOS updated to the latest version and have you tried the using the software through windows?

Perhaps the 3rd/4th core is defective and causes errors? The blue screen usually means that the core(s) cannot be unlocked. However, you can try to increase the voltage for stability or disable one of the unlocked cores to see if it's just one defective core and you'll have a triple-core... Is...

I'm afraid that your current cpu has no options for unlocking cores. Considering also you have an OEM motherboard which cannot overclock, I suggest you buy a new system if you really need the performance.
