I did try that and it allows me to select ON or OFF. When I select OFF, I am unable to get sound from the sound bar. And the volume is turned up on the soundbar.

I am beginning to think this particular LG doesn't support external audio options which i cannot believe but I guess it possible. :( It doesn't support HDMI ARC (not that I have found) which has led me to using the Optical cable. There isnt any options under the Sound settings that I can see...

There doesn't seem to be a setting such as this on this particular LG TV.

Hello! I am trying to connect my LG 47LK520 TV with a Samsung HW-J450 soundbar. I am trying to use the optical cable that was included with the soundbar. But I have been unable to connect. I suspect its something with my tv settings. Any ideas?
