5.1 only playing in 2.1 on my PC
to clarify what i think Rynex0 is saying ... most 5.1 sound card drivers install a special application , in that application u need to select 6 channel Output and 6 channel Input , if u have for example : 6 channel input and 2 speaker output then it will only play 2 speakers- agent76484
