Is the GTX 660m in Lenovo Y580 an actual reference design GTX 660m?

I know there are plenty of people that say stay away from 1366x768 laptops because they are "low quality" LCD's, but I can personally attest to the quality of my "low quality" LCD in my y480. It has great contrast, bright colors, good black levels and I am extremely happy with my decision in...

Is the GTX 660m in Lenovo Y580 an actual reference design GTX 660m?

I know this is an old thread, but the Y580 ships with a GTX 660m, not an OC'd older mobile GPU. Just as the original Y480 shippe with a gt 640m LE but the newer model of the y480 is shipping with a full fledged gt 650m GDDR5 GPU. I can personally confirm the y480 as I received mine a couple of...

    Gaming Laptop for 500-600

When considering what laptop, consider that the amd A10-4600m integrated 7660g is on par with a GT 630m ish. I would definitely choose the 7660g integrated over a 610m and 620m.

    Portable Gaming Laptop

Lenovo Y480, 14", i7 quad, GDDR5 GT 650m and usually running on a deal for around $750 ish. Right now the win 8 model is on sale, and it's looking like the win 7 model will be on sale for black friday. There is also the Y580, but it's $100 more, 15.6" but houses a GTX 660m

    Lenovo Y580 - a good buy?

The lowest I have ever seen the y580 go for is $849 for the non fullHD model. They are always running deals but I don't think you are going to get it for much less than $900 fullHD or not. Black Friday may be a little different, but the y580 is one of their best selling laptops so I don't see...

    Typical "which one" situation

Oh I understand that the difference between a 7670m and 7660g is negligable at best, but both of these are identicle in specs, both having only the 7660g. My biggest concern was screen quality and build quality. As I am currently at work I can't just run out to a store to check them out till...
