One nvidia gpu, one intel gpu. It is usually blue unless I am in a game when the nvidia turns on. I have the stock power adapter and this happens no matter if it is plugged in or not.

Sorry if I was not clear, The computer has two gpu's so when you are running a game the nvidia gpu turns on and the light turns orange, when you have not game running it is blue. And yes I am running windows 8.1

I set my computer settings to power saver and it did not turn off. And if you mean my computer is plugged in by "is my power adapter running" than yes.
