u dont need a dedicated gpu if u only want to play lol......i have a y510p with i5 4200m 8gb ram and a sinle 755m...but i have changed setttings in nvidia control panel when ever i launch lol it uses my integrated intel hd 4600 and i can guarantee that u can run this game on medium setting at...

i have solved this problem ..... http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2323348/solve-700m-800m-gpu-overheating-issues-easy.html ...this not just a simple underclock ok ...read clearly...and also take a look at the link i've posted a pic...this is all because of nvidia allowing the gpu boost 2.0...

i have owned both hp and lenovo laptops ...........from lenovo side z510 for my bro and for my self y510p......these laptops replaced our dv2700 (my bro) and dv2000 (mine)....i must say that lenovo laptops stay a lot cooler than hp ...and r louder and,,,,they use hitachi hdd...../cheap dvd...

i actually played bf3....im really happy with my decision im playing it on 1080p with mixture of high n medium settings with aa off and motion blur is on im getting bout avg of 47 to 50 fps minimum i got was about 32 fps...........my gpu is gt 755m....2gb ddr5..with 8gb ram....the temps r low as...

i am going to buy a lenovo y510p specs...i5 4200m ,nvidia gt755m "single" .....8gb ram.......is this enough to run bf3 on 1080p ,medium settings with antialiasing n motion blur off....@ 40+ fps

i think the gpu is overheating because of gpuboost 2.0...........when ur playing demanding games its overclocking itself .......so there must be a way to disable gpuboost 2.0 ......same thing with turbo boost technology for intel cpu's...................................
