Go for the Asus S56CB, the i5 processor is far better than the AMD, and the 740m is also superior to the 8750m.

You didn't give much information on the specs, if they're both the same apart from the small things you mentioned the Y500 sounds like the better choice, turbo boost doesn't really mean anything in this case and you probably won't even need to boost the clock speed up to 3GHz or more. The 750m...

You didn't specify what HTC, for all I know you could be referring to the G1. But if you're talking about the One, which seems to be the general consensus here, then yes it would be the superior buy.

The first one, with the 7670m graphics card will fit your needs in my opinion.
