    Laptop Connected to Monitor Will Not Display

    I have my laptop connected to a monitor, but it will not stay displayed. I turn it onto the monitor and it is on for a split second then goes black...or it will go so dark that you can just barely see the different screens that are up. Any advice? Please. Thank you!
