if, through bios, it shows ur nvidia gpu is present, then probably its not any hardware issue. if in bios itself, its not showing any gpu, then it might be some serious trouble. have u looked into it?

u can upgrade only if your motherboard supports for it so.check it through your user manual. other options also might work, but may yield some performance issues/lags.

well, actually, apu dual core can satisfy ur need(ur first option). ci3 is anytime better(second option). probably u cant upgrade ur old laptop(because the cpu and gpu are at optimum stages preinstalled. mostly, u cant upgrade them like we do with our desktop computers). my suggestion- ofcourse...
