Simply buy a digital to analog converter that will convert optical/coax digital to analog. Connect the opt. wire to the TV optical out (of it has one), then to the converter, plug in headphones, done. Can be bought at RadioShack for $60 w/opt. Cord or cheaper on Amazon. NOTE: if trying this...
