    For 1080p 144Hz you will need an HDMI 1.3 or higher, a Dual-Link DVI, or a DisplayPort while 1440p 144Hz requires either an HDMI 2.0 or a DisplayPort 1.2. ... In that case you should only need a small adapter for usb-c->displayport and that should support pretty much everything.
