Headphones will get you much better quality over gaming headsets! I would recommend Sennheiser or Audio Technica. I have seen these drop down to $99 on amazon at times. If you are going high quality mic, you might as well upgrade to a real set of headphones, and both these models are top notch...

What model of speakers do you have? What model was your old receiver? What model is your new receiver? Do you have a warranty on any of the equipment?

^ True true. I agree with you on all of that ssddx. I think my idea is overreaching, and I did not immediately find your much more realistic solution. Now get some really nice monitors... definitely going to want a good amp/dac to make them sing. OP good luck with ssddx's solution!

Sounds like a defect in the product. You should contact Steelseries and see about sending the headset back for a new one.

I have an idea that will work, and anyone please correct me if you can find a cheaper solution. You should buy a DAC to connect the analog speakers to the digital output that your tv accepts. As far as which DAC to go with, I would get something quality instead of something cheap. DAC - $149...

Aren't ads more like the option to donate to a website? The website gives me free content, and in an unspoken agreement, I should feel obliged to click an ad, knowing it helps the website out. However I never click the ad because I simply do not want to. Calling someone a thief for not donating...

I support a few websites that I visit often, the rest are blocked until the internet cleans up ads. I have these websites on the whitelist (racist) for adblocker plus: tomshardware.com newegg.com fafsa.ed.gov style-productions.net avsforum.com head-fi.com

Some of the better quality panels only go into smart tv's. This was at least true when i was doing research for my tv a few years ago.

Just taking Chromecast one step further.
