They already came out with that update, it was firmware 1057. The problem started with firmware 1056 then they released 1057, and that did absolutely nothing. Now samsung says there is no problem so I don't think this will ever be resolved with people who own first generation Samsung smart...

To get into the service menu have tv off then hit mute 1 8 2 power. Just be very careful if you change certain settings you can permantly screw your tv up. I heard this a long time ago and changed my wifi region from R to A and it did nothing for me. Good luck
