    New Wireless Headset?

The g930 is a pretty good multipurpose headset, so if you're looking to stay $100 it's a good fit. 7.1, good in music / movies as well. they're closed back, which you'll def be aware of lol. you ears heat up fast on those ones! there aren't nearly as many good wireless headsets as there are...

Speakers/Headphones/Mics not detected on Windows 7

have you tried reinstalling your audio drivers? Also are you using usb or 3.5mm as your connection? If it's usb, try it on different usb ports (like trying a 2.0 port instead of 3.0).

    Best 7.1 Gaming headset

pslayton - if you're sure the audio jacks on your front panel are standard 3.5mm and not optical, it's likely analog stereo, which wouldn't be able to handle 7.1 through a single line. If you wanted to use true 7.1, you would use the jacks in the back, assuming you're using your mobo's dac...

    Corsair Vengeance 1500 Questions

gotta agree with jbucko. the vengeance 2000 is good for a wireless headset, but audio technica, senn, vmoda will deliver better quality sound. as good as 'surround-sound' can get, either true or simulated, a good performing stereo pair of headphones will often sound better. surround sound isn't...

    Good headsets and suggestions?

the Siberia V2 is quite good for its price range if you like headsets with a lot of bass. and yeah corsair does make some decent models too. i haven't tested the vengeance 2100 yet but the vengeance 2000 was good for a wireless headset. for aesthetics sake, the tactic 3D Omega is another good...

    Razer Kraken 7.1 vs Megalodon

i wasn't too crazy about either of them to be honest. the kraken's build quality was a bit better than the megalodon, but the mic quality was meh. the megalodon had to be broken in a for a while before the 7.1 stopped sounding hollow. it wasn't a huge drawback, it just took a bit longer than...

    Comfortable Gaming Headsets

justcallmetom is right, the pc 360s are an excellent contender if you're willing to go a bit higher. they were ~$250 for a while then the price started dropping and now they're a really good deal. audio technica makes really good headsets too. the ATH-M50 is right around your budget and...

    good gaming headset under $100

yeah in that range I'd say steelseries is one of the better options. logitech makes some decent models, but the siberia V2 is a good headset for its price. very bass heavy, and the retractable mic is convenient. earcups could be a tad bigger, but overall a good headset i wasn't too impressed...

Best Headphones for the Audiophile under 200$

Sorry should have clarified - I was talking about the dt 990, but specifically the pro version, not the more expensive premium one. The 990 premium at any impedance is much pricier, but the 990 pro the OP linked to is currently at $169 so it's relatively close in price to the m50.

Best Headphones for the Audiophile under 200$

yeah if you're more varied in your listening, I'd definitely recommend studio monitor headphones over 'gaming' headsets. they'll typically have a broader soundstage and a more balanced sound that works in music, cinema too..not just gaming honestly both of those headphones are great, and will...

Help Me To Get Nice Headset For Gaming And Music

the Siberia V2 is def one of the better budget headsets out there now. In terms of the different versions you've seen - they're nearly all the same model headset, just with different outputs (usb vs 3.5 analog) or compatibilities (pc only vs multiplatform). there's a standard pc-only...

    Xbox one headset advice

i'd say try out the A50 if you're already leaning in that direction. it's a bit pricey, but for a wireless headset, it's quite good. transmits on 5ghz which may help if your 2.4ghz band is congested. it's also been confirmed on the xb one and has pretty solid surround-sound. happy gaming :)

    Help with headphones

I'd recommend either audio technica or perhaps sennheiser if you can catch one on sale. both are reputable and make solid models. the ATH-M50 is one of my all time favs. very balanced sound, no real downsides for the price. sennheiser makes the pc 350, which is a great closed ear headset -...

    Looking for some nice headphones

audio technica makes the ATH-M50, which is a really comfy model imo. under your $200 budget too there's also sennheiser - the pc 350s and pc360s both have large earcups, one being closed acoustics and the other open. two very different sounds but both good, now especially, as their price has...

Looking for a surround headset with high quality sound.

i understand where you're coming from. i had the same confusion and subsequent skepticism when first learning about stereo / surround sound headsets and how to discern high-fidelity from gimmicky stuff you are right in noting that "high quality" and "true surround" aren't typically used...
