    I cant connect my laptop to HDTV via HDMI. Please help.

    Did you try pushing something like F11? Look for a symbol that looks like a screen. You might have to push a key like Alt + whatever F key it is. The laptop screen should go black and then switch to the TV or it might run both screens at once.
