    Asus Laptop unable to boot (black screen, no bios)

    I had this exact same problem. Eventually took the battery out and did a hard shutdown then got all the symptoms you mentioned. I took it to a repair shop and they reformatted. Said it was a windows corruption. That was about 2 months ago. This morning it has happened again!
