    I would say not, modeling is more intensive on the GPU side, this one includes an R5, for video/image editing it would be good. The modeling portion may not give you the best results, but it should hold up fairly well (so long as it's nothing really intensive)

    Oh well, accidentally unselected my best answer. Go for the i5, a little performance gain in single-core applications but nothing to warrant the extra $120

    The i7 has better single-core performance, but other than that it's pretty much the same thing. You wouldn't notice much of a difference with the i7
