Hello and welcome to the world of audio! Firstly, I am in a very similar position to you. I have the Bayerdynamic DT 990 Premium 600 ohm. And a PS4 and a high end PC. I personally have not needed an amp for either my PC or my PS4. U just plug it straight in via 3.5mm and enjoy. I hope this helps...
