If you can use a meter to read the screen in continuity, while it is connected to the board without battery or power adapter on it..... Better still get specialist service

I have a CQ61 (Hewlett Packard) that won't boot or even come on at all. No response when the switch is depressed. I read the motherboard and all the signals were good on my Metre. I know it's the BIOS chip that is faulty. I can change it with another chip from another CQ61 mother board, but not...
