While I can't really recommend anything I can tell you a couple things about turtle beach. First their cheaply made, so they break fairly easy, and they have miles of cord pretty sure every mic has that though... Also since your paying at least or at most $100 i suggest you get a different mic...

So I have about 40$ to spend on a headset. I plan mostly on using it for gaming, and skyping. I may also use it for a little of listening to music, but still mostly for gaming and skype. I'm considering buying these headphones with this mic...

If your not using it for gaming definitely not. Besides the graphics card the hardware is pretty weak...
