Are you sure of that. I Know to connect connect it through a computer. Leave the case HDD. Can I connect a USB to TV through HDMi port?

I have a Samsung LCD TV which has two HDMi ports, but doesn't have any USB port. So I usually connect only my laptop with an HDMi cable. But now I need to connect my external HDD or USB flash drive to the TV. How can I do that? Is there any converters available for this? My HDD has not any...
