I figured out a way.. I just hooked it through the Sony hi-def blu-ray and it works. I noticed that for some reasons, different brand of soundbar and tv when connected have no sound... But same brand, the process is a piece of cake.

I just bought a new Sony ST9 soundbar 7.1 channel. I have a Samsung 4k tv. I tried to use the HDMI to connect them successfully but I got no sound. The manual book does not help because I tried everything and still no sound. What am I doing wrong? Yes they both have ARC and did try that but...
