weird screeching noise when i shut down my computer?

Is it coming from your speakers or do you not know? I have had case fans make loud noises as they have come to a stop... Might try unplugging them one by one and stopping it to see.

    infection after full computer scan

There can be several reasons for this. First off let me say that no antivirus program catches EVERYTHING. For example an anti virus program often focuses on viruses and not malware like adware. This is why i often suggest running an anti-virus program AND a malware program like Spybot: Search...

    More virus scans

Virus scans are not 100% and often times you will need multiple scans and may be even different softwares to get rid of everything because not every antivirus is designed to get rid of every type of malware, there are just too many. ALso if you did the scans in windows, many viruses are able to...

The Bios you need to go to the Asus website, look up the laptop, go to drivers download.. go into the bios section and download that file on to a flash drive. Then you go into bios with the drive inserted and update it there. Alternatively your laptop may have a SUITE or something that will...

ASUS G751JY-DH71 vs a customized SAGER NP8298? For school (Architecture) and gaming?

    "accidentally" cleaned hard drive

If you are going to reinstall win 8 I would not suggest it because HP would have their own "customized" version of win 8 with drivers and utilites on your computer. If you are going to reinstall win 8 get the disk for that laptop from HP otherwise you may lose functionality on programs and such...

    "accidentally" cleaned hard drive

Not unless you have the original DVD rom, but then you are installing win 8 drivers on a WIN 7 system. You are going to need to go to a friends or somewhere with a flash drive. Just remember that there is NO support from HP on your laptop with Win 7. So you are going to have to: 1. Find out...

    "accidentally" cleaned hard drive

I looked a couple places and the tech support From HP says that Win 7 is not supported on that laptop therefore there are no Windows 7 drivers available for it. You can TRY and go here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4132&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5312177...

    Hesitating between 2 gamer laptops: ASUS i7-3630qm + GTX 670MX + 512gb SSD or MSI Apache Pro 60 i5-4200h + GTX 860M

If you are gaming I prefer the ASUS RoG. It is an I7 with hyperthreading and will work better than the i5. Asus is very good at making their laptops specific for the gaming experience. The hybrid drive will load faster than the 1 tb drive alone. That is my suggestion.

asus laptop freezing/restarting while playing games

First thing I would do is reinstall the latest drivers for video, sound. Then I would check for any BIOS updates and get those things out of the way to make sure there aren't any conflicts or issues. Just cause your CPU is at 70C do you have any idea what your GPU temp is at? That could be...
