Plug it into the mic jack, right next to the speaker jack. Speaker is green, mic is pink or orange (or if it's a laptop use the other jack next to the one you are currently).

In Windows Explorer you can right-click on the drive and select 'Eject'.

Right click the speaker icon in your system tray. Go to 'Recording Devices'. Right-click on your microphone and go to "Properties". Click the 'Listen' tab. There is a checkbox for "Listen to this device". It needs to be unchecked. If it already is unchecked, check it and hit apply, then uncheck...

Try pressing Fn+F4 and wait a few seconds to see if the screen comes back on. You should try this up to 3 or 4 times if it doesn't come back on. If that doesn't work, I don't know what it could be.

My opinion: I would never, ever buy a laptop to play games. You'd be better off with a console. Desktop all the way.
