my native resolution is fine for my home screen but in games its horrible and makes the graphics look so bad

Iv'e been using a tv as a monitor for years now and I just recently upgraded my computer to a gtx 970 video card and it only works on the native resolution unlike my old video card if I dont use the native it zooms in to the point where the games arent playable
