    It also appears from the MSI site that the OP's proposed laptop possesses an MXM slot, MSI promotes the fact it is upgradeable as well. Not sure on cost or compatibility.

    If you buy Eurocom or some of the other boutique vendors you will get a socketed CPU as well as an MXM GPU which can be upgraded later on. These machines are usually FULLY configurable at purchase, right down to keyboards.

    It's likely a setting in your chat app. Using Discord myself I check "Voice Activity" and adjust my mic sensitivity accordingly, I also have all the Opus settings enabled. Some headsets do have hardware controls as well that could override or interfere with the software settings.

    80 deg C is normal for laptop components, this thing is meant to run plugged in and most systems will UNDERCLOCK on battery to conserve battery hence the stuttering you have observed. Nvidia and AMD both use such power saving technology.

    To the people posting about cycling and such, bad info. The controller in the battery and the computers BIOS, heck even the OS already do these things for you, no input required. Just plug it in and run it.
