Hi, try checking to see if Num Lock is enabled. If it is, disable it. I know it may sound silly, but i have had this before aswel. :)

When u start the laptopl just press F12 and it will let you select the boot device. Then you can reinstall windows. To reset the BIOS battery, you will have to dissassemble the laptop, which i dont suggest.

Hi, both brands are excellent in terms of quality and customer service. so it comes down to budget and specs. You have already said the specs are about the same, so then go with whichever one you prefer or is cheaper for you. :)

The 660 Ti will thrash the 860M. Notebook GPU's are very weak compared to desktop gpus/ :)

Hi, the MSI is a better laptop. It has an SSD so it starts up much faster and has better transfer speeds. :)
