Found the problem, for those curious. I ran memtest, with various configurations of RAM in different slots, and found that one of my RAM sticks was bad. Once the stick was removed, the problem was fixed; now I just need to buy some more RAM to replace it.

Anyone have any idea what's going on? Programs keep crashing, windows updates fail, programs don't install correctly, and web pages crash every few minutes (chrome and internet explorer). Some blue screens that I have been getting: -IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL -MEMORY_MANAGEMENT -PFN_LIST_CORRUPT...
