Thanks for the reply. I have gone through the tv settings top to bottom and cannot find anything.... surely this is possible. All tv apps outputting 2.0. Disappointing I can’t watch movies from google play in surround.

I recently purchased a Sony xbr55900E smart tv and cannot get the tv to output 5.1 surround, I only get linear PCM 2.0. My receiver is a Sony STR DN1040. I have the receiver output connected to HDMI ARC on the TV and also an optical cable for back up. Any help would be appreciated
