Why i7 920 and not 950? I can get the i950 with minimul cost upgrades, and it is faster.

Well, it looks like there is little difference in battery life, and gaming performance, but a big difference in video/photo editing in favor of the desktop chip. The desktop chip, and system A have Tri-channel memory, so I think I'm going to go with that.

Thanks very much Lost. One more question -- If desktop chips are faster and cheaper, and can be used in a laptop, why would I want to get a chip designed for a laptop? As for the ram, 4gb stick don't exist, right?

Well, if i'm not going to save (much) doesn't seem like it's worth it. I'll just wait a few months for my returns, and get a new one from sager probably.

I have built several PC's, but I have never even owned a laptop, let alone opened one. How easy or difficult would it be to buy all the parts, and assemble one? Where would I even go to buy laptop parts? (newegg?). Any good reads? The only reason I ask is that it is generally 25-50% cheaper...

I found the opposite with waiting. The more you wait, the more technology is available, and other stuff tends to go down in price. Looking for some more input, and thanks for yours frozenlead.
