Brand new laptop is slow and has 100% disk [usage] in task manager

That sounds like what happens on all my devices with 5400 rpm boot drives, under the disk it is likely windows telemetry that has your disk at full usage (or some other similar windows process, such as updates or system or whatnot) turning telemetry off helps, but I haven't found a proper...

Laptop battery goes flat in 3-4 days powered off

I'll try running that, but I have taken it into the computer store twice, and run a couple other tests myself, it is just odd that one computer takes a month to go flat while the other takes a week.

Laptop battery goes flat in 3-4 days powered off

I have an Acer E5-473G-56NC, and while I do not know the exact amount of time it takes for the battery to go flat, I do know that it is an unacceptable amount compared to an ASUS laptop only a year newer that loses 7% in the same time my Acer goes flat. I have taken it in under a warranty and...

    GT 940m 2gb vs GT 940m 4gb

A dual core i7 gives some improvements from enabled settings, but most of the improvement will come from higher base and boost clocks.

do new, unused batteries wear down even if you don't use them?

Rechargeable batteries do lose charge over time in storage, and if you plan on leaving it unused for more than a month then 70% capacity ir recommended for a storage charge, and much longer than (I would say) 3 months you should be monitoring the battery to ensure it does not go below unsafe...

Upgrading Intel Pentium Dual-Core to i3

You would see very little by just upgrading the processor, 1-5 FPS at most http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/gl960-chipset-processor-upgradability.212097/page-8 this post goes over possible options, but i would have to recommend a new system

Upgrading Intel Pentium Dual-Core to i3

It probably would be a slight upgrade, if it works properly in the bios. The only improvement seen eould be due to clockspeed and other features that were locked out of the lower teir processor. In all it will not be a huge improvement, and will be very difficult. The core2 aarch cannot keep up...

Upgrading Intel Pentium Dual-Core to i3

You cannot for many reasons including incompatible BIOS, Motherboard, chipset, and socket(though could get mobile core 2 that may or may not be compatible)

Any games this laptop can run?

tf2 should be fine at mid settings, and the older hitman games should be runable as well. gta4 is known to be a not so great port, and will most likely not be playable if it runs. as for fear 2 it looks as if you meet all the min reqs. all valve games should be fine with the exception of cs:go...

How do I uninstall Google Chrome 100%?

In the c drive there may be some folder remaining under Program files, and Program files x86, as well as a disk cleanup to remove temp files. from my knowlege, it stores/steals some settings from within IE settings as well

can someone help me? my laptop has no internet access but connected to wifi. my connection is "limited". So when i troubleshoo

you could try right clicking on the wifi symbol, going into "open network and sharing center", "change adapter settings" and then disabling and re-enabling the wireless card. I have had a similar issue and that normally fixes my issue
