    I wouldn't think it was the screen or the cable..it would be either working or not working. In my case it works momentarily then goes out. maybe the inverter. How do I find out?

    I have no display back light. I can see the image on the screen with a flashlight. I use a separate monitor which works fine. Is this a software issue or hardware. Is the video card bad? Is it replaceable?
